LEARN TO SKYDIVE

Modern technology and advanced methods of training have brought skydiving within reach of just about everyone. Choose from either the Accelerated Freefall (AFF) Course or the Static Line Training Course. All student courses are available at our Caboolture drop zone.

Accelerated Freefall Course

Developed to provide a means of allowing a person to achieve their licence to skydive in the shortest time possible, a student is able to obtain their licence in one week (weather permitting). The course takes about nine jumps. On the first jump you will, after completing your ground-training period, exit the aircraft at 10,000 feet. You will be accompanied by two experienced instructors who will take up leg and arm grips with you during the freefall down to 4,000 feet, where you will pull your own ripcord. If you fail to pull the ripcord one of your instructors will do it for you. Additionally, the parachutes are all fitted with a built-in automatic activation device, which will pull the ripcord. From there you will fly your parachute down to the ground with guidance from the target arrow or from a radio helmet.

Static Line Course

Of the two student courses available, the Static Line Course is the least expensive, but takes a longer period of time. The course takes about 17 jumps. After a course of ground instruction, your first jump will be from 3,000 feet. A static line will open your parachute automatically and you will fly your parachute down to the ground with guidance from the target arrow or from a radio helmet. After five static line jumps you will do a freefall jump - just a short five-second delay to build up your confidence.

The parachute system used on both student courses is fitted with an automatic opening device.
